Here in Deepwell, we have a bit of a situation. A woman named Ruby Wood has left the town some money in her will. But to get the money we have to make our town a more caring place. And that turns out to be much harder to do than it sounds and we're under the gun to get it done. We have no idea who Ruby Wood was, for one thing.

WHAT IS THIS WEBSITE FOR?
We are putting the information about Ruby and her Bequest online so that (1) everyone in the town can follow along and (2) we can get advice from people outside our town about what best to do. Time moves so quickly and so much is going on in the world – we hope this website will gather all the useful bits in one place.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE PEOPLE TO DO?
We hope to get advice from people who know more about the "ecosystem" of caring than we do. We also hope that people who have experience caring for others will tell us their stories, so we can all learn from their experiences.

WHY WOULD PEOPLE TAKE THE TIME?
First, we're hoping that you are good eggs and can find room in your hearts to care a little for the people in our town. Second, some people have said that our situation here in Deepwell is a "testbed" and an "important crucible" for some national issues (those people aren't from around here, obviously).
